I'm going to be posting my longer, bloggier, posts on this blog. However, I opened a twitter account so that I can follow some people of my own, and I will also be using my iPod touch to make twitter postings on the fly while travelling.

Acceptance!

Dear Jonathan

Thank you for applying for the China Teaching English program for 8 weeks with International Volunteer HQ.

Congratulations. After checking our positions with our Chinese partner organisation, we are pleased to inform you that your application has been successful and you have been accepted to begin volunteer work on the China Teaching English program from the 6th June 2011.

Apparently sometime in early June I will be on a jet plane to the other side of the world. Here's to adventure!

Things to come

I'm pretty sure only three people will be looking at this blog in the coming months, but I'm going to use it as a means to keep track of everything I will be doing in the near future.

I opened my blog today because I officially applied for my China English teaching abroad volunteer program, and I'm going to continue to write on this blog hopefully through all of my travels.

Since I started this blog months before my actual travels, I will also be posting about other trips I am going to make in the near future. I'll probably also use this as a tool for sharing pictures I take more readily.
